VAMOS AUTOMATIC LTD - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Last updated: April 4th 2026

Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all driving lessons, intensive courses, driving test vehicle hire, and related services provided by Vamos Automatic Ltd (“the Company”). By booking any lesson or course with the Company, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Driving licence and fitness to drive

You must hold a current and valid driving licence, whether provisional, full, or international, and must produce it on or before your first training session.

You must be legally and medically fit to drive at all times.

The Company reserves the right to refuse or cancel any lesson if it believes you are not legally, medically, or otherwise fit to drive.

2. Payments and cancellations

Payment for your first lesson must be made at the time of booking.

Payment for future lessons must be made at least 72 hours before the scheduled lesson. If payment is not received in time, the Company may cancel the booking.

Payment for intensive courses must be made in full at the time of booking.

Payment may be made by card or online bank transfer.

If you cancel a lesson with less than 48 hours’ notice, the full cost of the planned lesson will be charged.

The Company will make every reasonable effort to ensure lessons start and finish on time. However, it reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or amend lesson times, durations, and arrangements where necessary, including due to dangerous weather conditions, traffic, vehicle issues, or other circumstances outside its reasonable control.

If the Company postpones a lesson, any fees paid in advance will be carried forward to a rearranged booking.

The Company reserves the right to cancel a lesson at short notice if it believes you are unfit to drive due to alcohol, drugs (prescribed or otherwise), or any other condition that would make driving unsafe or illegal. In these circumstances, the full cost of the planned lesson will still be charged.

Intensive courses require at least 7 days’ notice before the course start date for any cancellation or amendment. Once an intensive course has started, it cannot be cancelled or amended, and no refund will be given for any unused or part-completed portion of the course.

If you cancel at short notice on more than 3 occasions, the Company may cancel any future bookings. Any prepaid balance will be refunded, less any discounts previously applied to lessons already taken as part of a block booking.

You may request a refund for any unused prepaid lessons. Refunds will be processed within 5 working days, less any discounts previously applied to lessons already taken as part of a block booking.

3. Bookings and lesson duration

The Company will aim to provide regular lesson slots at the same time each week to support continuity of learning, but this cannot be guaranteed.

The usual minimum lesson length is 2 hours, although lesson times may be shorter depending on location or availability.

If the instructor is running late, reasonable efforts will be made to inform you of the estimated arrival time.

If the instructor is more than 15 minutes late, that time will be credited back to you. Where possible, the lesson will be extended by that amount of time. If this is not possible, the extra time will be added to a future suitable lesson.

f you are late for a lesson, the lesson will still finish at the pre-arranged time and the full cost of the planned lesson will be charged.

If you request a change to the lesson time or pick-up/drop-off location with less than 48 hours’ notice, the lesson may need to be shortened. The full cost of the planned lesson will still be charged.

If the instructor arrives at the agreed time and you are unavailable, the instructor will attempt to contact you and will wait for a maximum of 25 minutes. After that time, the instructor may leave and the full cost of the planned lesson will be charged.

4. Training location

Lessons will normally start and finish at the same location unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance.

The instructor will decide the location for practical lessons in a way that takes account of safety and the needs of the lesson.

This may include the instructor driving to and from the training area, and that journey time will form part of the paid lesson.

5. Training vehicles

Any training vehicle provided by the Company will be taxed, insured for driving tuition, roadworthy, and fitted with dual controls.

6. Driving tests

The Company reserves the right to refuse the use of a training vehicle for a driving test if it believes that doing so would present a risk to public safety or if the pupil is not considered test-ready.

Where a Company vehicle is used for a driving test, this will usually require a minimum 2.5-hour session, although a longer booking may sometimes be required depending on the test time and location.

The Company will make every reasonable effort to ensure that any vehicle provided for test is roadworthy and complies with legal requirements at the start of the test. However, it cannot be held responsible for vehicle failure occurring immediately before or during the test where this was not reasonably foreseeable.

The Company is not responsible for driving test appointments cancelled by the DVSA due to bad weather, sickness, staff shortages, or any other reason outside the Company’s control.

In these circumstances, the full booked session fee, including car use for the test, will still be charged.

7. Conduct and complaints

All instructors working on behalf of the Company are expected to act professionally and in accordance with relevant professional standards.

If you have a complaint or dispute, the Company will deal with it fairly and reasonably in line with its complaints procedure and any applicable professional standards.

8. Your rights

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights under consumer law.

9. Changes to these terms

The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Where reasonably possible, customers will be informed of any significant changes.
